Procedure:
----------

  - purpose of the excercise:
    - get svn head into releasability
    - test release candidates as good as possible from the viewpoint 
      of a SAGA application developer/user

  - get and install SAGA 
    - svn co -rHEAD
    - read documentation
    - configure with some private prefix
    - compile
    - install

  - get and install the test application
    - obtain the source of the application to test from svn (if not in src tree)
    - read documentation
    - set SAGA_LOCATION
    - compile
    - run

  - each problem gets a ticket in bugtrack immediately!
  - the table below gets an 'ok' entry, or the respective ticket number(s)
  - if a ticket is fixed, the table entry is cleaned, begin test procedure 
    again (if possible/sensible from start)
  - local tests are ideally performed on some coputer you do not own/usually use
  - distributed tests are ideally performed on QueenBee and/or LONI
  - if you have trouble understanding/running the application assigned to you, 
    please don't spend time trying, but ask for help on the list immediately.
