Ninf-G Java Client API Diagnostic programs The files in this directory is developed for diagnostic. This README file describes what each program performs and how to execute it. 1) Set environment variables Before building diagnostic programs, please make sure that a file named "build.xml" is located in this directory. Then set the following environment variables. - JAVA_HOME : java install path - GLOBUS_LOCATION : GT install path - NG_DIR : Ninf-G install path 2) Build diagnostic programs After setting environment variables, type the following command. % ant 3) Modify properties for sample programs Before executing diagnostic programs, please make sure that a file named "client.conf" is located in this directory, and the following properties are set to correct values in the file. You may need to modify the following variables. + hostname in section The name of host on which Ninf-G Executable(stub) will be run. + filename in section The name of localldif files from which Ninf-G client gets information of Executable(stub). (optional: If you use MDS to get information, you need the following steps) + mds_hostname in section The name of MDS server from which Ninf-G client gets information of Executable(stub). 4) Execute diagnostic programs Eight diagnostic programs are provided. These programs invoke Ninf-G executables on the server specified in 1st section in a configuration file. So you have to modify a configuration file to specify server. - CallbackTest.java A client program which invokes Ninf-G callbacks. To run, type % ant callback - CancelTest.java A client program which cancels sessions. To run, type % ant cancel - DataTest.java A client program which invokes simple calculations on a server side. This program uses char, short, int, long, float, double, scomplex and dcomplex types of variables. To run, type % ant data - FileTest.java A client program which invokes file transfers. This program examines 4 patterns of test. < filetest test list > 1. transfer BINARY file, and output file already exists 2. transfer BINARY file, and output file doesn't exists 3. transfer TEXT file, and output file already exists 4. transfer TEXT file, and output file doesn't exists After modifying build.xml, type % ant file - FileArrayTest.java A client program which invokes transfers of an array of files. This program examines 4 patterns of test. < file_array_test test list > 1. transfer BINARY file, and output file already exists 2. transfer BINARY file, and output file doesn't exists 3. transfer TEXT file, and output file already exists 4. transfer TEXT file, and output file doesn't exists After modifying build.xml, type % ant filearray - NullArgumentTest.java A client program which uses null as arguments of GrpcObjectHandle.invoke(). This program uses char, short, int, long, float, double, scomplex, dcomplex and string types of variables. To run, type % ant null - SkipTest.java A client program which transfers arguments and results data with shrinking. This program uses char, short, int, long, float, double, scomplex and dcomplex types of variables. To run, type % ant skip - ZeroElementTest.java A client program which transfers arguments and results data with no elements. This program uses char, short, int, long, float, double, scomplex, dcomplex and string types of variables. To run, type % ant zero
