Notes and Caveats

• If during the build you see the error ``missing separator'', you are probably not using GNU make.
• The EDITOR environment variable. You may not be aware of this, but this variable usually exists, and may be set by default to something scary like vi. If you don't know how to use vi, or wish to use your favorite editor instead, reset this environment variable. (To exit vi type <ESC> :q!)
